Using the Ordnance Survey one-inch Seventh Series mapping as a base, the added cartography shows historical details of lines, companies and stations for the whole of Great Britain, from 1807 to 1994, including opening and closing dates.

Overall, the condition is excellent. Internally, both volumes are as new, but the covers have faded from green to blue along the spines, with similar fading along the slipcase edges. The slipcase is in very good condition, with ever so slight scuffing, and one scratch on the rear, which does not disfigure it in our opinion.
