The first Ordnance Survey one-inch map was published in 1801. Starting in the south of England, sheets for the whole of England and Wales were available by the early 1870s. These early maps are now known as the Old Series.

Maps were revised to show developments such as railways and town expansion.

We have a good selection of these maps folded in covers and as flat sheets, in good condition.

Inexpensive reprints have been produced by David and Charles.

Maps offered

All maps are in good clean condition, dissected on cloth and usually folded intocard covers of various styles. No map is annotated, unless noted otherwise. Occasional small marks, and small holes at fold intersections are not generally noted.
